Netflix Aquires Filming Rights for “A Series Of Unfortunate Events” by Lemony Snicket

Netflix has acquired rights to the popular children’s book series, A Series Of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, with plans to adapt and film them as a live-action series.

A director for the Netflix programming has not been announced. Netflix is producing the project with Paramount Television.
Paramount also produced the 2004 movie, A Series Of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket starring Jim Carrey, which grossed $209 million worldwide.
